Plot Summary
Descendants of the Sun is a romantic drama that tells the story of Yoo Si-jin (Song Joong-ki), a captain in the South Korean Special Forces, and Kang Mo-yeon (Song Hye-kyo), a skilled surgeon. The drama begins with Yoo Si-jin and his team of soldiers being sent on a peacekeeping mission to the fictional country of Urk. While on their mission, they encounter a group of armed militants and engage in a battle, which results in Yoo Si-jin rescuing Kang Mo-yeon from danger.
Yoo Si-jin and Kang Mo-yeon develop feelings for each other, but their relationship is complicated by their different backgrounds and the challenges they face in their respective careers.
