Plot Summary
Mr. Queen the kdrama begins with Jang Bong-hwan, a skilled chef working at the Blue House in modern-day South Korea. He is known for his cooking skills and for being a bit of a troublemaker. One day, after being caught up in a political scandal, he is chased by security guards and falls into a pool. When he comes to, he finds himself transported back in time to the Joseon Dynasty.
Bong-hwan soon realizes that he has taken over the body of Queen Cheorin, the wife of King Cheoljong. Initially confused and disoriented, he struggles to come to terms with his new identity and the unfamiliar customs and expectations of life in the palace.
As he begins to adjust to his new life, Bong-hwan discovers that Queen Cheorin is not well-liked by the other members of the court. Her aloof demeanor and lack of interest in politics have made her an outsider, and she is often the target of ridicule and gossip…
